Rated 4 out of 5 More Colors Please!
I love the Double L Chinos--so much so that I wear a pair just about every day. However, I would like to have some more variety to my wardrobe. LL Bean used to make these pants in a 'pale khaki' or 'soapstone' color that was much lighter than the 'khaki.' They looked especially nice in the summer.
Please, LL Bean, bring back the 'pale khaki' --and perhaps even introduce a 'Nantucket red' or some such. I will buy 10x alone!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Alan1967 Too Big
I ordered the Classic Fit LL chinos in size 40 to fit my 40.5" waist. The pants were 1" too big for my waist and too full in the seat and thighs. I returned them and ordered the Hidden Comfort Waist (HCW) LL chinos in size 38. These fit much better in the seat and thighs, and only 1" stretch required to fit my waist. Apparently both the Classic fit and the HCW chinos run about 1.5" too large in the waist. Also, the Classic fit is no more trim than the HCW. For my build, at least, the strategy for the best fit is to order the HCW one size smaller than my actual waist.

Rated 1 out of 5 by FamilyHistorian Fabric Not Durable
I had purchased pants like these for my husband for work pants for years. The fabric used for the newer 100% cotton pants is not as durable as the 60/40 cotton/poly blend that was used before. The cuffs on the all-cotton pants wore out immediately after just a few wearings.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Doublej2 Fraying in two places
I like the others have experienced the hems that frayed quickly after a few uses.
Recently I have noticed a second issue. The fabric in front of the zipper is showing visible signs of wearing out.
All in less than six months of wear. Disappointing, very disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by cosmicthing Fit Is Inconsistent
A few years ago, I bought two identical pairs of these chinos at the same time, same size, but in different colors. Both Natural fit. One pair swam on me. Very baggy. I looked like Ricky Ricardo from I Love Lucy. 1950s-ish. The other pair fit perfectly throughout. Obviously, I saw that there is no size consistency from LL Bean's vendors and manufacturers. This time I ordered the Classic fit instead, but I have read that for some they are oversized and for others, they are smaller than the marked size. The same issue that I had with the Natural fit. I'm taking a chance again. If these two pants that I just ordered in Classic fit this time are not, in fact, the same size as marked, then this will be the last time I buy pants from LL Bean. By the way, I have had the same cuff fraying issue that others have remarked about, but it does not occur for about 2 years. Therefore, it's not unreasonable; I wear each pair roughly once every 7 or 8 days.

Rated 2 out of 5 by TheBigRed Classic Fit chinos too, too wide
Classic fit is still too wide in the seat and leg. Size 40 was so huge it is sitting in the charity bag after one wearing. Size 38 isn't much better. A huge disappointment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ladylondon hems worn out too soon
I purchased several pairs of these pants for my son, he liked the pants because of the odd sizes of waist (35) length just right. Within about 3 weeks the hems of the pants were all frayed. Very disappointed as he really liked the fabric and the easy care.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Localphotographer They are what they are, not what they used to be.
One overlooked "quality" of wrinkle-free pants is that they resist hemming. That is, after hemming the fabric resists forming a sharp crease (at the hem) even with repeated ironing; the new hem being functionally a crease (or wrinkle) and so is "resisted." This still remains true after about five or six washes and ironings, so far.
This is my first attempt at all-cotton wrinkle-free and the fabric, to me, feels kind of clingy and less breathable. I believe it's also much thinner fabric than the Double L chinos of the pre-wrinkle-free era.
Perhaps the qualities that bother me are just what you're looking for. The fit remains perfect for my dimensions; it's a shame these pants can't be offered in a traditional all-cotton fabric.

Rated 2 out of 5 by WestintheEast "fraying" at the bottom cuff
Many of the reviews mention the "fraying" at the bottom cuff and the pockets. I am having the same problems. i came to the website this morning to buy some more but just decided after reading these reviews coupled with my experience to not buy anymore of these. At $40, I would rather pay a little more and get something that lasts
