Rated 4 out of 5 More Colors Please!
I love the Double L Chinos--so much so that I wear a pair just about every day. However, I would like to have some more variety to my wardrobe. LL Bean used to make these pants in a 'pale khaki' or 'soapstone' color that was much lighter than the 'khaki.' They looked especially nice in the summer.
Please, LL Bean, bring back the 'pale khaki' --and perhaps even introduce a 'Nantucket red' or some such. I will buy 10x alone!

I will start out by saying that per LLBean's fantastic customer service, I am returning these and getting them replaced. My husband loves the fit and comfort of them.
However, I was terribly disappointed, especially with the Dark Khaki color that we ordered. We had them less than a year and the color started wearing off, as if they were garment dyed. Then the comb in his back pocket wore 2 holes right through! and the hem frayed.

Rated 2 out of 5 Pockets are "wrong"
The pockets in this are positioned so that your hands can't naturally fit into them. You need to uncomfortably reach behind you to reach into your pockets.
Also after wearing these for a day, despite them certainly being the correct size, I felt quite some discomfort. They seemed to strain my body in some hard to explain way. Overall not satisfied.

Great cut&fit, but POOR material. Cuffs fray quickly and wear spots show after limited washings. Poor button sewing. I've had NONE of these problems with near decade older Bean chinos I still wear! My wife has had similar issues with declining LL Bean Chino quality and won't buy more. Nevertheless, I recently bought 5 MORE pair, HOPING to keep them in rotation until Bean solves this problem. So many of your customers depend upon these pants for daily use and want to stay loyal to your company. Please return the loyalty and try to solve this ongoing quality issue. We need to know you are listening.

Rated 4 out of 5 by saturn1 Fits true to size
I put to much stock in reviews that read order smaller than you normally do. If the last time you ordered pants was 1980 don't tell people the sizing is off. They fit just as well as my size in any of the other brands I buy. Can't speak for the wear and tear, but they seem substantial enough to last.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jason29 Nice, but inconsistent sizing. Need more colors
I have two of these pants, one about 11 months old and the other 6. Both are the exact same size (35/34) in different colors. One of them fits great. The second has a rise that is about 1 inch shorter. So I either have to wear them a bit low or deal with the uncomfortable "snugness"
Also, more colors would be great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by IvyClassic Smaller Waist Sizes Needed!
The pants are overall good value. Great cut and good material/construction for the money. Unfortunately I have to give them 3/5 stars because the vanity sizing on the waist is ridiculous.
On a tagged size 30" the waistband actually measures 31.5".
Desperately need a smaller waist size option, 28" would be great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bethalex The new 'go-to' pants for the men in our family!
My sons are big and tall. Over 6'5", requiring an inseam of 38" on their pants, which can rarely be purchased in a retail establishment. Being as tall as they are, their waistband isn't exactly a size 30 either, as they would be absolutely unhealthy if they were that thin. With all of that said, LL Bean has come through with wonderful pants in their sizes, and the perfect length!
And, did I mention lightening-fast shipping?
Thank you, LL Bean for helping our unusual sized/proportioned bodies be easily outfitted! We will be returning frequently!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Alan1967 Too Big
I ordered the Classic Fit LL chinos in size 40 to fit my 40.5" waist. The pants were 1" too big for my waist and too full in the seat and thighs. I returned them and ordered the Hidden Comfort Waist (HCW) LL chinos in size 38. These fit much better in the seat and thighs, and only 1" stretch required to fit my waist. Apparently both the Classic fit and the HCW chinos run about 1.5" too large in the waist. Also, the Classic fit is no more trim than the HCW. For my build, at least, the strategy for the best fit is to order the HCW one size smaller than my actual waist.
