Rated 4 out of 5 by pcrow I swear that was Mrs. Clause on the phone
I've been trying to get the sizing right on these pants. A bit of history:
ordered 2 pair, one in dark olive the other dark khaki. The dark olive fit as expected, the khaki were big in the waist. (Both size 33w 34l).
Ordered another pair, 32X32, and they're too small.
So, I'm back to another try with the 33X34 in dark khaki, in hopes that the previous issue was an anomaly, and the fit of the green is the norm.
Anyway, there was an issue with the online billing functionality, so I had to call. I spoke with a woman who said her name was Shirley, but she sounded just like Mrs. Clause, and treated me as I would expect Mrs. Clause to do: purely cheerful, utterly helpful, and totally efficient.
Looking forward to round three on the pants. Unfortunately my $10 coupons will be burned up in return shipping costs, but I love Bean and these pants are quite good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Freeputt Great for my body type
I am tall (6'4"), mostly all legs and arms. It's so hard to find anything that fits me right. These pants are probably the most comfortable dress pants I have worn. The quality is very well-made.
I did, however, have to try a few different sizes on to get mine right. I actually had to go up a size on my waist.
I think I will only buy LL Bean dress clothes from now on. They are just so well-made, just like everything else Beans makes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MrRow Fraying at bottom of trouser, 2 pairs, 1 frayed
I got 2 pairs of these pants (#212332) at the same time as a gift. One pair frayed at the bottom of the pant legs within a few weeks of wearing them. I nursed them along but they are so badly frayed after a year, that I have to replace them.
The second pair, is just starting to fray ever so slightly. I have no idea why one pair would fray so quickly and the other pair would not. Both get the same wear and tear and care, so it must be the fabric.
Disappointed, but I really like the second pair, they are comfortable, don't wrinkle and are very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by westwoodking Note on "Pale Khaki"
I've been buying the regular Khaki a long time and thought I'd give the Pale Khaki a try. It is more of summer cream or near white then a khaki.
I wish LLB had a more tan khaki. Between "Khaki" and "Dark Khaki."

Rated 5 out of 5 by katjoemom Great fit, very satisfied, ordered second pair
My son likes these pants so much when he got birthday money he wanted another pair . I don't know how your company does it but your clothes fit a growing teenager almost a year later ! Easy to care-no ironing and wear well . He wears them to school at least a couple times a week and they look almost new. Love your free shipping too !

I have not bought anything from LL Bean in a very long time, but I have been looking for a pair of pants that isn't "slim" and am very satisfied with my purchase. Pants fit great, shipping was super quick and FREE! Will buy another pair shortly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AnonymousConsumer Love them!
I absolutely love these pants and have been wearing them for years. They hold up well, wash after wash and they're true to size, in my experience.
My only complaint is that they bring back the Black color! Other colors would be welcome, too, but I really miss the Black.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GoNoles Good Chinos
These pants are very comfortable and fit me very well. I am pleased that L. L. Bean has "in-between" sizes as well. I have not washed these pants yet so this review may change in the future.
Also "khaki" is lighter than what I now know as a true khaki color; it is more like stone. "Light khaki" has a yellow tint to it; and "dark khaki" is what I consider to be khaki nowadays.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NotCostanza Wallet wear ....
I have returned a few pair of these pants over the years because the seat wears through from my wallet. I sit on an Aeron chair - with a mesh seat, and apparently, the rubbing of my wallet "bump" on the mesh wears though the chino fabric. I have had a pair wear out in just 6-8 months. Every time I return a pair of these pants, LLBean is quite kind, and accepts the return for a full refund. But it seems like there should be a better solution, or a more sturdy chino fabric. I do not believe that it is appropriate for a customer to return clothing simply because it's worn out. But since these wear through so frequently, I wind up returning them at about a 50% rate - is that taking advantage of the LLBean guarantee? I still buy new pairs for replacement, but I only go for the refund about half of the time. I wear a pair of LLBean wrinkle free Double L Chinos every single day. I have about 6-8 pair in active rotation at any given time. I will sometimes wear a pair 2 times between washings if they are clean, but these pants do not get heavy work use - I have a desk job. Has anyone else had this experience? And no, my wallet is not "Costanza" sized #Seinfeld reference#

by californiajack freying pant cuffs
I like these pants a lot (I have owned 3 pairs), but after about 5 washings, the pant cuffs begin to frey. I notice from the reviews that I'm not alone in this regard. After a couple more washings, they are so badly freyed that the pants are only good for gardening. I've tossed two pair, and the third is about to go.I wish LLB would at least offer a casual Chino with a higher quality fabic. I'd gladly pay for it.
