The high qualify of material and workmanship in these boots stand up to year-round use in the garden and horse barn. I purchased my first pair in the early 70's and just replaced them, although had I returned them for resoling earlier, I probably would still be wearing the original pair! My shoe sizing is 7 1/2 to 8 and I ordered the size 7 Bean Boot and the fit is perfect. Couldn't be more pleased.

I just got these in the mail today and, of course like any other person, I slipped these suckers on. I spent a long time looking at sizing and reading reviews to determine the best fit for me. I decided, in the end, to only downsize a half size. I typically wear a 8 1/2 and the plan was to wear these with thick socks so I ended up buying the Medium B size 8. I am glad that I didn't size down 1 1/2 sizes. These shoes fit perfectly with thin socks and I have plenty of wiggle room at the front of the boot. The tongue of the boot is sewn but I didn't have any problems with getting my foot in and out of the boot. The only reason why this boot only has 4 out of 5 stars is that I have yet to test them out in the weather.

These boots are so comfortable and look great with almost everything! You can wear them with any kind of sock or no socks at all either way they are comfortable. They are also warm and are great rain and snow boots! I am so happy with my pair and I would highly recommend them to any one looking to buy!

I have been stalking the Bean website for months waiting for this special navy blue color of Bean Boots. I saw them on a fashion blogger that has a Bean connection, so she was wearing a "sneak preview." I have owned a pair of the original Bean boots since 1988(!!!!) so I figured that I deserve a new "flashy" pair. I am IN LOVE! The color is beautiful; and the quality of fit and construction is precisely like my old antique pair. Bravo L.L.Bean! You guys rock :)

Boots run large so you can wear thick socks. Excellent product. Bought these for my daughter in college in the mountains.

Rated 2 out of 5 by gagagc Size information misleading!
I am a size 9 1/2 so I ordered online a pair of size 8 according to the size information.
It took about 2 weeks to arrive (which was fine as I live in Australia), and I knew the boots were running small the moment I opened the box. I had no choice but request a QuickExchange. This is an excellent service, and the lady at customer service waived the shipping fee for the exchange order. But sending the wrong size shoes back to USA cost me about 40 USD :-(
Please give better size information and come up with a better way to help customers choose. And, please make half size shoes!!

I have purchased these boots for my granddaughter who is at UMass college. I tried last year to purchase but was unsuccessful. IT seems all the girls were wearing them and it was a rage. Purchased them for her birthday in Oct. but wanted to get them way before to ensure the order. I myself have the Duck shoes for many, many years. Glad to see that I am in style. Getting two more.
