I put these boots directly on my feet when I received them! They are amazing. Waterproof. Cozy. and Warm. They are perfect for sitting in an ice rink, walking in the snow, or just walking the dog on a cool winter day. Easy to slip in and out of. The only con (which is barely a negative) is that I think its going to take a while to wear them in - currently the leather under the laces folds into my foot in a somewhat uncomfortable manner. However, I'm sure that will dissipate with increased wears. Overall, the perfect winter boot!

After seeing these boots become so popular last year, I waited to get them and decided to finally order them in November. I go to school in the city so I figured they would be helpful to walk through all the slush when it snows. When I ordered them it said that the expected delivery was March 10th because they were backordered, but much to my surprise they actually arrived yesterday and I couldn't be happier with them!! Even just walking around the house with them they felt incredibly comfortable and warm. I'm a size 6 1/2 in most shoes and sized down to the 6 and they fit really well and still leave room for if I decided to wear thicker socks. I would definitely recommend these boots!! And thank you to Pamela who made them!!

I ordered (with the help of customer service) my true shoe size & they fit a little snug at first. After wearing them for about 6 weeks (not every day) the Thinsulate lining has formed to my foot real well. The arch is very comfortable and I have no problem switching from them to my dress shoes and back. I am diabetic and the thinsulate lining keeps my feet very warm, even at near 0* temps. The only thing I am not happy with is the quality of the laces & after 6 weeks they are blowing out and need to be replaced, same as my husband's several years ago.

Iv'e always heard people talk about these bean boots and fell in love with them even more when i saw them in person at the store in Maine. I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy one. Only problem is everything is back ordered. I ordered my size 6 in september and only now just got it. It is definitely worth the wait because the quality is excellent. the leather is so soft and its keeping my feet warm as we speak. The only issue is my real size is from 4.5 to 5 and the 6 is fitting like a 7. I just reordered a size 2 in kids in hopes that it will fit more like a 5. It is back ordered til May but i can use it for next winter.
Very excited!!! =D

These were purchased for our daughter who is attending college. She needed something to keep her warm and dry as she walked to class. My husband has had these same boots since the early 90s, so we knew the quality was perfect. She loves them and given our recent snow fall, she is putting them to good use.

I have the rubber moc, which I love and wear all the time, but I wanted to get the taller version for an actual winter boot. I had decided on it last winter sometime but of course didn't think to order them until this past October and by that time there was a 3 month wait list. That being said, they arrived a couple weeks early. I was surprised to have to lace them myself. They are obviously constructed and then thrown in a box for shipment - no fancifying in between. Once I googled some images to make sure I wasn't supposed to lace them in some unique manner (the laces remind me of Eastmans back in the day), it wasn't a big deal, but they were VERY stiff and new. The leather almost looks fake but I'm guessing that's the weatherproof aspect of it. Stitching of the leather to align with the rubber part of the boot was a teensy bit off on the left boot; I only noticed while focusing on the lacing and am sure it won't impact the quality. My rubber mocs still look amazing and I've had them for 5 years. I was a bit concerned that they felt snug when I put them on with thin socks. I ordered the 7 as recommended after reading many reviews. I typically wear between an 8 and 8.5M, but I had also down-sized in my rubber moc to the 7, which fit great. The insert on the boot was brand new with no foot compression already impacting it so I walked around the house a bit and decided that although my toes touched the front, it was soft and probably ok. I also figured, I wouldn't wear these with really heavy socks because I'll primarily use them going from the car into my office or running errands. I'm so glad I stuck with the 7 because after wearing them for a day or so (with no discomfort - just noticeable "hugging" of my foot), they fit perfectly. My toes no longer touch the front, and the leather and laces have relaxed. They still look new of course, but a bit more broken in. I could definitely fit a thicker sock if I wanted to, and if I had sized up to the 8, they would be massive I'm sure. I see what people mean by the tongue being stitched to the boot and being difficult to get on. I have no issues as long as my foot is going straight in. I like that it's stitched together b/c I just leave the laces semi-loosely tied and have no need to bother with the laces when taking them on and off. I'd say my foot is medium width verging on wide if anything although I've never needed an actual "wide" size. I tried the similar Sperry version while these were backordered to see if they would be a good alternative. My friend loves hers. They have a side-zip and the laces are entirely for show. I could NOT get my foot into those comfortably due to the angle of pulling so if you have a narrow foot, it might be a good option - otherwise stick with the real deal. I also didn't feel confident in the warmth and anti-slip qualities of that boot compared to this one. The height is more comparable to the 6". I liked the color options of those so it would be nice to have more variety here. The brown is versatile, but I would've liked green. My mocs are tan with navy rubber so I probably wouldn't have gone with the navy even if it were offered with a tan leather, but I think that would be a nice option. I personally don't care for the blue on blue option that was offered this year. As a comparison to my Sorel winter boots from years ago, these are so much lighter and easier to walk in. All in all, I highly recommend these boots.

Posting this in case it helps someone else. I usually wear an 8.5 W - 9 because I have pretty wide feet but I went with a regular 8 (W was backordered) and it fit perfectly with some room left for thick socks. As for the shoes themselves, they are of an excellent quality and while I haven't had the chance to wear it yet, it looks like it offers a good amount of traction for my first Midwestern winter!
