Rated 5 out of 5 by weekenderINva A new favorite shirt!
This is a great shirt! A true classic. Comfortable at a wide range of temperatures whether out winter camping or just around the house! Thanks for a new favorite! You know the shirt that you just keep going back to time after time.

Absolutely my father's favorite shirt! Rugged and soft. He wore it almost daily so I bought a second one to alternate. Keep making this one LLBean.

Rated 3 out of 5 by bearuk Nice fabric, but far too big.
I was very pleased when my LL Bean chamois shirt arrived. When I unwrapped it the material seemed better than any other chamois shirt I own. But when I tried it on I was very disappointed. The shirt was huge on me; it seemd much larger than the 'L' label would suggest. I am returning for an exchange.
Having read some of the other reviews I am concerned that a medium may shrink. So I'll update my review in a couple of months with the new shirt.

I bought 4 of these shirts. Two for my husband and one for my son. The last for me! The fabric is pretty thick for chamois, which I like. It is also very soft. This is my first purchase of the chamois shirt so I can't comment if it is not as heavy or thick as years before. I do know that they are true to size as most people would want to layer them. I bought the men's version for me because I didn't want the thinner women's version. Men get these for your wives and women get this style instead of the women's if you want thicker flannel. Also hang up to dry. You won't have to worry about shrinkage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by milescoverdale Quality but cut rather portly.
This is made of a nice, thick cotton, but I wish the stomach was cut less portly and the overall length shorter. There's too much fabric--and tucking in fabric this thick is really not a good option.

being a bean shopper for 10 plus years now it is sad to say that i have found an item that has lost my respect for the llbean name . over the years i have had more than 18 of these shirts . The shirt itself is comfortable and warm but the shrinkage is out of control ! I have to buy the tall size due to my height when first purchased the shirt is fine but after several washes you would think it was a regular sized shirt as the sleeves shrink 2 inches plus

I really liked the look and feel of this shirt however if you buy it consider it a one time wear and then toss into the rag pile. This shirt when washed becomes a 3/4 length sleeve shirt.
When I receive the shirt as a gift and I have always worn it once and thrown it out after the first wash. Oh yeah they say return it but that only means I have to spend the money to get a new shirt and return it after every wash. Simply not acceptable or reasonable.

This shirt fit very well until washed. I can't believe how it shrunk. Am trying to stretch it back out. Everything else is great, but it doesn't fit after a couple washings.

Rated 1 out of 5 by OttawaCustomer Most recent purchase very disappointing
I own 3 of these shirts, purchased over a period of years. The first 2 were excellent. They have worn well, and still feel great. The most recent one (Nov 2013) has already worn thru at the elbow. Also, the material does not feel nearly as luxurious. I wonder if there is a new supplier. I'm afraid to ask for an exchange, in case I get another of the same poor quality. I'm asking for a refund.
