Thank you for plain jeans in 100% cotton, which are almost impossible to find. I would pay extra for front pockets sewn into the fly.
I have short legs, but must buy medium talls.

These jeans are well made and true to size in the hip and length area, but very loose fitting in the thigh area.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Marcus93 How nice--they fit!
I used to have no difficulty finding jeans that fit. I wore what was, once upon a time, a size 8 and I always bought size 8. But consistent sizing is a thing of the past and I have, in recent years, worn sizes 2, 4, 6, and 10 as well, with no more than a 5 lb. fluctuation in my weight.
I found the customer reviews for LL Bean jeans very helpful, especially the comments about products that were true to size. That was a comment made several times about these jeans, so I double-checked my measurements and ordered the size that corresponded. I have been so frustrated with jeans-shopping that I was surprised to find that they did indeed fit. And they fit after washing and they haven't (so far) stretched out or shrunk. I was really pleased.

I really like these jeans because they are the only ones I can find with no stretch in them, but the waist is too high and tight. I have to order a size 6 instead of a 4 so the waist is comfortable enough, but then the legs are big. I wish LL Bean would make a 100% cotton jean in either the classic or favorite fit.

Nobody but LL Bean seems to make "traditional" jeans like they used to--orange flat-felled seams, grommet at the waist, deep front and back pockets, and quality that'll last for years. My only negative comment is I had to get a size larger than the charts indicate because the rise is an inch shorter than some other brands, so the "classic" waistband lands somewhat below my natural waist. That's in style now, anyhow. (The ones designed that way simply fall off me). These are very flattering!

Rated 5 out of 5 by BuckeyeStateShopper Please bring back the BLACK Double L jeans!
For years, the Double L black traditional fit tapered leg jeans were the only jeans I wore. They were sturdy and a great weight for fall and winter. Now LL Bean has discontinued them. I tried the True Fit black jeans but they have way too much spandex stretch for me and are so light weight they can't be worn in cold weather without long johns. PLEASE bring back the Double L Traditional Fit (fitted through hip and thigh, sits at waist, tapered legs) in BLACK!

Love, love, love these jeans. They're like the jeans of old. No spandex, no stretchy material, just good old fashioned denim jeans and a good old fashioned price to boot! The fit is great, the denim is on the heavier side and this will be my brand for jeans from now on. It doesn't get any better!

The styles of the Double L Jeans have changed in the past year or so. What is now "Traditional" used to be "Natural" and the fit is different. The waist on this style, Traditional, doesn't sit quite as high as the waist on the Natural style and the waist is now too large. I need the length of the medium tall, which I ordered, but the rise isn't quite long enough. The higher waist of the older Natural style helped some by letting the waist actually sit at my waist. So, while these are an okay fit, they are not great. The Natural was a much better fit for someone with a smaller waist and who needs longer rise.

Fit is wrong. For slim pants they are big in butt and hips and small in waist

For several years now I have been purchasing LL Bean Traditional Fit Jeans ~ only jeans that actually fit my shape. Too bad LL Bean discontinued the stretch jean fabric - that was even better.
