I have the unfortunate blessing of a smaller waist and large rear, hips, and thighs. These jeans are the only pants that fit me. Please do not alter the cut on these jeans - ever. You're my last resort with all of the new styles going to big waist small leg. There are lots of options for them. This is the only one for me. Thank you for keeping this style!!
I wish you made these in black and khaki/stone for plus sizes.
I also wish you made the exact same cut in chinos, khakis, and slacks. Skirts and dresses are my only option for work. Your relaxed chinos cinch up tremendously at the knee (too much).

I waited almost 3 months as these pants were on backorder. When I finally received them, I was very disappointed. These relaxed fit pants are really relaxed. The pants fit me well around the waist but were huge around the hips and thighs. They were not attractive. It is too bad that L. L. Bean no longer carries a regular fit jean in black.

...but they've been out of stock since December 2015...supposed to have been available in mid-May 2016--and now, they're not available until November 2016!!! Almost a year!!! Between not having my--and many others'--favorite jeans and discontinuing the incredibly popular "Women's Pima Cotton Button-Front Shirt," L.L. Bean seems to be losing it...

I can not believe that these jeans are back ordered until August 2016 ,I have been wearing these jeans for 10 + years and have never had a problem ordering and now they are not available for 4 months. Very sad

I wear these jeans often, but really wish they were available in a darker indigo. They would look just a bit more styled and one-step neater with a nice sweater.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ElleKaye Too Tight Waist, Bizarre Fit
I'd been searching for 100% cotton jeans, decided to try these because for years Bean's Bayside Twills in relaxed 10MT fit me well. The jeans aren't fitted for the same body shape! I'm 5'7' 138 lbs.
My waist exactly matches size chart for size 10, yet jeans waist is so tight that I have to leave button and about 1" of zipper undone and wear my shirts untucked to hide that. Where is the wearing ease? Maybe because this "original Fit" does not "sit higher on waist" but is actually a good inch above my (long!) waist and cuts into my lower rib. L.L. Bean, please make a Classic Fit relaxed jean!
Pockets are also set too high, above the incurve of hips, so opening is tight and it is hard to get hand in and out to retrieve keys, hanky, phone, etc.
I order MT to get a longer seat seam for my curvy JLo silhouette. Yet the crotch seam in these is so short that the seat cuts into my seat, very uncomfortable while driving or bending. How can "relaxed" be cut for a flat-bottom person? The only place these are "relaxed" is in the very baggy, flappy, clown pants legs. If I order size 12, they would likely be a bird-man suit on me! Not worth the extra postage to find out. Did I mention that your size chart thinks I'm size 10?
I'm keeping one pair only because I'm desperate for jeans I can wear for barn work.
very good denim fabric, well sewn.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JavaCowCat Solid jeans if they fit
I've been wearing Double L jeans for years. I get two pairs at a time and replace them when they wear out, usually after about 3 years of frequent wearing. They're comfortable, and they suit my lifestyle. They're not much of a fashion statement, but I can easily wear thermals or tights under the relaxed fit jeans. I'd rather be warm during the winter than be fashionable. So, all of that is good.
What's not so good is the wildly inconsistent sizing, which has been a problem with my last few orders. The jeans I received today were the worst yet. I ordered two pairs of the same style (relaxed fit) in the same size (4 MT). One pair was stonewashed and the other was dark wash. The stonewashed ones fit the same as my previous pair, however, I couldn't even button the waist of the dark wash ones.
I pulled out my trusty measuring tape and checked the measurements of the waist, hip, rise, and inseam of both pairs. Only the rise was the same; the dark wash jeans were 1.75, 1.5, and 0.75 inches smaller for the waist, hip, and inseam, respectively. Where's quality control?

Dark wash fits perfectly! Sizing between dark wash and the light and stonewashed varies by at least an inch smaller! Frustrating!
Hoping by going up a size in the faded, I won't have to return yet another pair of jeans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 47YearCustomer YEA!! I FINALLY found a REAL pair of blue jeans!!
I don't know why I automatically come to LL Bean for cold weather clothes but never checked out their blue jeans before. What a mistake! For several years the only blue jeans I could find were those made from the stupid new 'stretch' denim. My frustration grew to the point I was ready to give up wearing jeans altogether. However, my husband bought me a pair of relaxed fit, Double L jeans for Christmas. Oh, Heaven!! FINALLY! A pair of beloved jeans like I grew up wearing!! The fit is perfect and the feel of the good old fashioned, 100% cotton denim is what I've been searching for. THANK YOU, LL Bean. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

I bought these jeans and the size was very odd. They fit in the waist but the rest of the jeans were huge, I returned them.
