Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanBeliever Best Turtleneck Ever!
I've been wearing Bean's t-necks for several decades. They fit perfectly and look great dressed up or down. And I appreciate that the neck isn't tight and constricting. They array of colors matches Bean items I've had for years, and they resist pills and fading like no other t-necks I've every bought. Way to go, Bean!

WHERE are the relaxed fit interlocken cotton turtlenecks? I've worn them for over 30 years and they fit perfectly and not too tight like the 'slightly fitted' ones you have now. PLEASE bring them back!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by SEMinDC Excessive shrinkage!
I ordered two of these striped turtlenecks in my usual size. After washing as instructed (cold water wash, low dry) both had shrunk, particularly in the sleeve length. Because I really liked the look of the shirts, I then ordered two more, but in a larger size. After the larger ones arrived, I compared the two to make sure that they were identical in overall size and length, then washed only one of them. The sleeves on the one I washed shrank a full three inches! It was only then that I read the reviews to find that many others who purchased these shirts in the last six months had the same problem. It is disappointing to see that LL Bean continues to sell these turtlenecks even after all the comments about shrinkage. When two long-backordered solid color interlock turtlenecks arrived a month after the striped ones, I washed only one, with the same result. All six shirts were returned to a store for a refund. I have been wearing LL Bean's turtlenecks (usually in Tall which I wish LL Bean would bring back) for more than 20 years without a problem, but quality control has changed.

found the fabric coarser than previous T-necks, not as stretchy. Sleeves too short. Shrunk when washed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DCFCshopper Neck too short and loose
Have ordered Bean's turtlenecks for years in solids and now in the welcome micro-stripes. However, the necks are shorter and looser in both models as of the past few years' orders. As Beans addresses the other feedback concerning too-short sleeve length, please also restore the neck length to the old standard and consider slimming the neck width -- or offer a slimmer neck width option in misses Regular and Petite sizing.

Love the fit and the cuffed sleeves, but please make them longer. I am not at all a tall woman (5'4") but they keep coming un-tucked.

I have the raspberry and the teal and love them both. Fit is great and I get compliments on them all the time. I wash them, dry on med. heat, and put them back on. I have a tendency to stay cold in winter and they help keep me warm. I have had them about a year and they still look like new!

Rated 4 out of 5 by newera Glad I bought it
This turtleneck top comes close to what I seek for my everyday winter uniform -- a turtle neck under a warm sweater or other topper to help stay warm in our Great Lakes climate. The fabric is pretty good, it hasn't shrunk much, the neck is almost what I always look for -- not floppy and almost snug enough (without binding). For me, this is much more satisfactory than the more expensive LLBean Pima cotton turtle neck I ordered at the same time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by YukonBrunette Perfect fitting, flattering classic turtleneck
I got a petite M (and am about 140 lb, 5'@) and it fits perfectly. Not too tight, not too boxy: very flattering fit. Comfortable and the fabric is great. A staple item.

I bought five of these shirts in different colors with the anticipation that since they were coming from LL Bean I would be getting a better quality and fit than I would with a department store purchase. The neck definitely fits better than department store shirts but the sleeves are halfway between three-quarter and full length. I keep feeling like I either need to pull them down to my wrist or push them up to my elbow. Also, the length of the shirt is so short that I am constantly reaching behind to try to cover my back to keep from being exposed. I am not a tall person 5'4" so I wasn't expecting this problem. After reading some other reviews, I see that others have had the same problem with the newer Bean turtlenecks. Please go back to the lengthier sleeves and body and when you do, post it in your catalogs so that we can know you have made the change. LL Beans shirts are three times more expensive than a department store shirt. The fit should be better.
