Rated 5 out of 5 by FishRule Light, Fluffy & VERY WARM!
Very Warm...In fact to warm for where I live since I don't live in Maine or New Hampshire anymore . Comfortable, soft and quiet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Melanie58 It is WAY TOO HOT, but down doesn't shift
This comforter is amazing as long as the temp in my HOUSE is below 60. Any higher and I sweat all night long (even wearing a t shirt and shorts as pajamas). I have to send it back and find a cooler version. But the down doesn't shift at all - I am very pleased with everything but how HOT it is. OMG - how does anyone dealwith the "warmer" version of this thing? You would have to live in an igloo, IMO!

Rated 5 out of 5 by YummyMummy Permabaffle Box Goose Down Comforter, Warm, Queen
I think I read every review before ordering. It was really confusing because of how the warm/warmest get sorted together. So I'm back to share a review for the exact item in my review title. I LOVE my comforter! Here is what I was looking for. I wanted a warm comforter for Fall-Spring only. The "year round" ones aren't warm enough for me in colder months; I always ended up putting a blanket underneath which would sometimes make me sweat because it wasn't as airy as the comforter by itself. I reside in Northern CA. Not snowing, temps here, but it gets to around freezing. My thermostat is set for 60-degrees at night in those months. I like the room cold, but my bed warm. I sleep alone; no one warming the bed up for me. I wanted a puffy, voluminous, comforter that didn't make me sweat. I do use a medium weight cotton duvet cover over it. THIS is the perfect comforter for those requirements. It's puffy, luxurious, and hasn't leaked a feather in the 4 months I've owned it. A few other reviews mentioned crinkly sounds. Yes, there is a little noise. I'm generally noise-sensitive, but this doesn't bother me. Seems less now after a few months. Totally worth the money and I am very happy every night.

I bought the king size comforter I have a queen bed but I like my comforter to fall 1/2 way down the side of the bed. It looks great. I love, love, love it. So soft & warm. I also bought the Feather bed I feel like a queen no lie.I can't wait till bed time. When I slip in all you hear is ooooooo.I wish you all could get them.

Rated 5 out of 5 How warm is too warm?
This comforter is incredible. It's super light and fluffy and insanely warm.
My room is unheated and in the winter regularly falls into the 50s. When I'm alone in my bed, its cozy, even my toes stay warm! But when I have company, it is actually too warm.
I returned it for a cooler version. First time I ever returned something for over-performing.
For reference, I had a queen and used it with LLBean flannel sheets and duvet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CapeCodNative28 Wonderfully Warm and Cozy
This comforter is ideal for cold New England winter nights and it will surely keep you warm! It is very soft and has a high loft making it look great when you make the bed. I expect this comforter will last a very long time as it is well made. I will say it does make a crinkle noise but that in no way is a deterrent for all the other great qualities it has. If you are thinking of buying a soft, warm comforter- buy this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Maineahbyforce So far AWSOME
Just got this today via UPS. Opened the box and no smell, I was surprised. Seems to be enough feathers in it, not too sure what the average down comforter feels like. Stitching seems to be excellent. So far perfect, better than I expected. If there is a change in my opinion I will update my review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SonShine445 BEST COMFORTER EVER!
This may well be my favorite LL Bean purchase! This comforter is amazingly warm and cozy. I spoke to a representative and decided on the warmer version. So glad I did. Despite a bitterly cold winter, last month's gas bill was about half of what it was last year, in spite of the fact that last year was milder. We've turned the thermostat down 6 degrees and closed the BR register. This is the third or fourth down comforter we've owned over the years and it beats them all--hands down.
Thanks LL Bean for a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SantaFeBob ABSOLUTE BEST decision we made!
After much review, and talking to three LLBean representatives, we decided on the "warm" comforter rather than "warmer." It is like sleeping under a cloud in that I hardly notice that it is there..in Santa Fe, winter temperatures typically are in the 20s at night, sometimes teens, and infrequently single digits. At night we turn off the heat, and crack a sliding glass door about 6 inches, so it does get cold in the room. We haven't been cold while sleeping once this winter!. I should mention that we use flannel sheets, and a comforter cover (not flannel)..If we chose the warmer version, it would have been too hot.. Excellent decision! Couldn't be more pleased!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lenticularus Decent comforter with some caveats
Ordered the comforter and, like what other have said, it arrived faster than expected. The box was smaller than I expected it to be. Took the comforter out and it looked pretty low-filled. Fluffed it up and set it out. It did puff up a bit, but not what I had hoped.
As was mentioned earlier, it is crinklly, but not anything that bothered me that much. I am sure it will break down over time.
After a couple of day of use, I can say it is decently warm, and seems to be well made.
Over the past 25 years, I have been very fortunate to have had some very nice down comforters. This one replaces an identical model from about 8 years ago. I seem to recall my reaction was about the same ("I wish it had more down...), but I don't remember the crinkle...
Not a bad choice, but I do wish they'd put more down into the item. How much more would it have to cost to get that? I don't know, maybe it would be too expensive, but I would love to have about 50% more down in there. (Just in case anyone from LLBean is reading, it doesn't have to stuffed tight since you WANT down to be fluffy, but a bit more really wouldn't hurt.)
