Love the coat, but the button threads are coming undone, and have needed resown.
Warm and versatile if you do not mind threads and loose buttons..
Disappointed with the quality..

Love this coat, super comfortable and it arrives soft and broken in. Warm flannel liner is soft, has many useful pockets.
A timeless classic.

The jacket appears to be well made. However, the color did not match the online image. I ordered the olive one, and the color probably is truer to olive than the picture was, but since I was seeking the shade shown online, I quickly returned the coat, and am waiting for my return to be processed. The sizing was correct; I usually order large for coats and shirts, and even with my longer arms, it fit well. Just not the color I was expecting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RLM1 Nice Casual Coat
I bought this coat as an after thought. I really did not need a another winter coat, but I had a 20% discount and it seemed like a good deal. Like some other Bean coats, this had some options regarding linings and I selected the one that reportedly takes the rating down to -25 degrees. When the coat arrived, it looked similar to other types of barn coats except in olive khaki color. However, the fabric is softer and more pliable. Picking it up it did not seem like a winter weight coat. I wore the coat down to NYC last week in single digit temperatures and was frankly amazed at how warm it was. If you wear a sweater or other extra layers underneath, you may actually roast. While having a zipper would certainly have made the coat even warmer, I have never felt the least bit cold in it.
The coat is nicely sewn and good quality. So far I am very pleased with it and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. One thing that I like about this coat is that in my mind it is properly sized for a winter coat, which to me means you can wear a layer under it with out pushing into the next size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by coolngruvy My husband loves this coat!!!
My husband is on his 3rd coat. He always goes back and buys this coat. It is made very well. The one he replaces he saves and uses for yard work because it is still in decent shape. The only reason he replaces is because of stains that do not come out. He loves the removable liner, because then you only need one coat for all seasons. There are lots of pockets, that is a must. I am sure he will use this coat for the rest of our midwest winter.

Buttons are way too small. Liner comes out when coat is taken off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by rgeorge Second one of these I have owned
Great coat. I owned one with the wool lining that eventually wore out. This time I ordered the primaloft lining instead of the wool one. My only issue is that when you fold over the cuffs to expose the corduroy, the brown primaloft lining pokes through the sleeve. They should have made the lining about 3/4 of an inch shorter so it didn't show through. Otherwise, it's as good as the last version I have owned for years (which is saying something when most manufacturers have cut costs and quality over time).

The coat fits well. It is lightweight, warm and water repellent. I purchased a size large, which will accommodate a sweater. The coat keep me warm during the recent cold temperatures in the Northeast, which averaged 5 degrees F.

I love everything about this coat. It is warm but not bulky. The outer shell does a great job of blocking the wind. The cut is generous enough to wear a heavy sweater or sweatshirt underneath comfortably.
