Rated 2 out of 5 by SFLA Rubber Moc Review
When ordering these shoes I read many reviews complaining about the sizing running too large. I wear a 12 M LLBean hiking boot as well as a 12 M running shoe. I ordered the 11 based on the websites recommendation of 1 size smaller. These were huge. I could fit two fingers behind my heal.
I ordered a 10M and it is still a little large. They are ok for walking in the yard, but you could not walk any distance in them. I returned the first pair. While the website says Free Shipping, I had to pay to return the first pair that were too large.
I will not buy shoes online from LL Bean again. The quality is there, but the sizing at least for this shoe is out of scale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gerrarrd Great product. Amazing customer service.
I decided to get my first ll bean mocs and pleased with what I got. I usually wear size 9.5-10 shoes so I got a size 9, as per insturctions of the website. When it came (fast delivery!), tried it on and my ankle was slipping out when I walk. I'm planning to use only light/medium wt socks so I called for a replacement, maybe 2 sizes smaller than my normal shoe size. (corteous operator!). In 2 days, I got my size 8 and it fits perfectly!
If you will be wearing light/medium wt socks, consider buying 2 sizes smaller than your normal shoe size. It worked for me.

The best of the best is right here. I read some of the reviews and downsized. They have very ample toe space - I can wear a heavy sock if necessary. After reading the reviews, regarding the heal area being wide and slips, I found that tightening up the laces works extremely well. My pair of Mocs now perfectly fit and actually mold to my foot.
I use them for everything - walking in the morning dew, gardening, etc.
Great price for a quality item. Don't hesitate to buy these !

Rated 5 out of 5 by FarmerontheHill Comfortable, easy on,off, great for morning chores!
Very Comfortable boots right out of the box.Ordered one size smaller than my usual size which is a ten so ordered a nine perfect fit.Never wore this brand boot before but have worn this style and cheaper versions of this boot for years for doing morning chores around the farm but none ever fit this good right out of the box so what I am thinking is that with the quality and workmanship of this boot I am going to be well satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by YukonCornelius Successfully traversed the sizing gauntlet!
Great style and quality - what one would expect from LL Bean.
Normally, I wear a size 13 shoe. Per LLB's sizing advice, I ordered a size down since I would be wearing light to mid-weight socks.
Since I had recently tried out a size 12 D in a 10" boot and found it to be a bit narrow I went for the size 12 E (wide) in the moc. The fit overall was very, very large. My foot was swimming in the shoe. Upon calling LLB they shipped me a size 11 E which arrived in a couple of days. The 11 E was easy to slip on and off but a bit short around the toes and in my opinion appeared small.
My dilemma was how to make the 12 D work. I chose to purchase the sherling insoles and heavyweight ragg wool socks. Problem solved! The mocs fit very well now, and I can still slip them on and off.
Your heel will slip out of the shoe when you walk, this is by design.
To summarize, I usually wear a 13, I found that with heavyweight socks and thick ragg wool socks a 12 E was a good fit. I can even get by with thin dress socks if I tie the laces tight with these mocs, of course leaving the sherling insoles in.
If you want to wear thin socks seriously consider going two (2) full sizes down. You can adjust the fit by tying the laces tighter, however the knot will be under the tongue.
Great customer service on LLB's part, no surprises there. I'm pleased, and appreciative that when I called them an actual person answered the phone!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lightpost Weird sizes
I normally wear a 10.5 shoe, so reading that these shoes allow for heavy socks and that you should ordered a smaller size, I ordered a size 9 which I was afraid would be too small, but they were way too big, so returned them and ordered a size 8. They seemed to be even longer in length than the 9's. So just returned them for a refund. Crazy sizes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rdwade13 Great shoes! Good value.
I'm going through my second pair of these shoes. They are very good at being waterproof and very comfortable. I wear these shoes almost everyday and sometimes all day long. Another thing that I like about these shoes is that they have good traction but are easy to clean the mud and dirt off as you enter you house or car. These shoes are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. When these shoes wear out, I'll just buy another pair again!.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AikenSC They DO run BIG-but I love 'em !
Trust the reviews that say they run big-a full size bigger! So if you want a snugger (ie "normal" fit), order a FULL size down. But I like them that way for easy slip on and off--much easier than higher boots. And they are comfortable and VERY waterproof, as long as you don't step in water higher than the top of the shoe, like I did ( ok, I admit it- I was having fun in the gulley-washer...but at 61, I don't like to pass up too many opportunities to dance in the rain while i still can )...
During the summer I put in an extra cushion insole for wear with thin socks, and during the winter I take out the extra one for wear with thick socks. They are great shoes for those early, dew-covered mornings in the pasture, trudging up to the mailbox in the occasional snow, or trying to shag our precious but dumb equine in the mud when she doesn't have enough sense to come in outta the rain (wait a minute-I'M out in the rain, too...hmmm...)...
Anyway, they are my favorite "work in the yard shoe", and the tread on the soles doesn't seem to hold mud and debris like a lot of other "yard shoes" I've had. A couple of scrapes on the bristle mat, a stomp or two, and they clear out pretty well....of course, I wouldn't walk on white carpet with 'em, but they track little, if any, "honey, hand me the broom-quick!" stuff. They seem well made and have stood up to over a year's worth of almost daily use with little sign of wear and tear. The seams are still waterproof, and with a quick wipe of the rag to get the big chunks off, they look brand new. Very good value for the price as well, I might add...
In my humble and rather circuitous opinion, I would highly recommend them, keeping in mind the caveat on sizing...So trudge on fellow gentleman(and women) farmers. Gotta go put my dancin' shoes on- I see some some storm clouds gathering !

Rated 5 out of 5 by whoneeds1 Husband Loves His Mocs
Husband wears his Mocs for outside chores, year-round. Easy on-off. Up until this past weekend he would let them just outside the back door to slip into on his way to the garage. Went to slip into them this past Saturday morning when he found one missing! Darn Bear anyway... The only part of the Moc he found was the sole in three pieces. I bought him a new pair under the condition that he keep them indoors when not in use from now on. These are great all purpose Mocs - just not bear proof :)

The quality seems ok but the narrow heel makes walking a challenge on uneven ground.
I have to get rid of these before I twist my ankle.
