Rated 4 out of 5 by StanNH Almost great, but not quite.
My first pair of these really comfortable slippers were purchased 18 months ago. The stitching on one pair tore from the leather, causing a total separation of the sole from the body of the slipper. I returned them, and LL Bean's shipped a replacement pair at no cost, plus sent a $10 gift card. That is exceptional customer service.
My new pair is just as comfortable as my original pair, but has another problem. The soles on these slippers produce a loud squeaking noise over linoleum or tile flooring. It's loud enough to be heard throughout the house, and quite annoying. I will try talcum powder and other solutions, but what an incredible nuisance. If I can't find a remedy, I won't be able to continue wearing these otherwise wonderful slippers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Queblo Great upper and sole very poor stiching
I purchased these twice in the last decade or so. The stiching which looks like leather is poor quality. With just the friction from walking in my house it wears out and breaks. When that happens all you are left with is a good slipper in two pieces. The first pair I threw away the second pair I re-stitched them with a good quality shoelace. Still have them.

I bought mine 2 years ago and just love the comfort. I live in Southern California so I use them only in the 'winter'. Yeah laugh all you want about our winters! It's still cold in the mornings on tile floors and don't use a heater much all year to conserve energy. They are holding their shape just great and am going to order a pair for Mom. She stumbles on carpeting with slippers that have rubber or crepe type bottoms. Also find with slip-ons she drags her feet and falls are more probable. Didn't know about the replacement policy, so thank you for that input!

Rated 4 out of 5 by jmtc Wicked good, but not wicked durable
I first ordered these for the winter of 2011 and only wear them during winter months. After 2 winters, the rawhide stitching broke on the right slipper, near the front and the upper separated from the sole. I sent them back for a replacement in 2013. The second pair had the same problem ... after 2 winters, the rawhide stitching broke on one slipper and I had a hole between the upper and the sole, around the big toe area. I slapped some duct tape on it and made it through another winter, but still don't feel that these lasted as long as they should, so I am returning them again. It seems a lot of people have had the same or similar problem, so you would think that by now they would have done something to alleviate the weak stitching. Other than durability, I love the slippers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rogershs Best slippers I've owned
I've had a pair of these slippers for at least five years maybe more. They've been the best I've owned. The comfort and warmth are excellent. I've had very good wear on them and if not for ripping one of them on a piece of metal, would probably have gotten another few years wear. These are seriously good slippers.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DHughes1 4th replacement for my husband
My husband loves the warmth and feel of these slippers BUT they become lopsided for some reason after daily wearing. The first pair didn't get lopsided, they wore out inside after about 9 months. Pairs 2 and 3 wore out to the point they got lopsided within a short time. Pair 2 less than a year and the pair he got this past Christmas wore out in 3 months. What I do appreciate is that they are guaranteed and even though they have been replaced four times, I have only paid once! I would rate them a one star if they didn't do that but since he loves them while they are not worn out, I give them a 3.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 4xlr8n Lose Shape
I first purchased these slippers over 2 years ago and was elated. They were only worn indoors and usually during the evenings or when the weather turned cold. I preferred that they had to be "pulled" on at first which I expected, and they really kept my sock feet warm as toast. Unfortunately as they aged, the top opening in both slippers lost their shape to where I could slip them on with ease. Furthermore, the outer sides weakened to the point to where when I walked, my feet would immediately roll onto the outside edges. That made me feel very unsteady on my feet. So I quit wearing them except for instances in which I was just sitting still. My daughter and son-in-law chuckled at me over the holidays last year when they both glanced down and saw how the slippers were positioned on my feet while just sitting. My slippers were indeed positioned one way and my feet another. I just wish I had saved the original box and purchase information so I could return them for a type of moccasin slipper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ColdfootFred Excellent slippers for diabetics
I am diabetic with neuropathy in my feet and I've looked for slippers to keep my feet warm. These are perfect; the fur on the inside keeps my feet toasty warm. I've had mine for more than 6 months and I wear them every day. The sizing is right on the money. I was concerned about the soles wearing out, since they appear to be soft leather, but it has not been a problem. When I first put these on, they were a little snug but as I wore them the fur matted down with wear and they are a perfect fit.

by ScottE61 Comfortable, but the stitching is terrible
I've been buying these slippers for years, because they're just so darned comfortable, but I've finally decided to stop wasting money on single-year slippers.
The uppers are durable leather. The bottoms are durable leather. But for some reason they went with cheap cloth to stitch them together, so the uppers separate from the lowers after maybe a year of daily use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MinnesotaMoose Sole is lopsided = really bad wearing experience
The sole on these slippers (especially the right foot) is lopsided -- higher on the inside of the foot, non-existent on the outside of the foot. So my foot constantly rolls off the sole toward the outside and I end up walking around on the side of the slipper. I don't know if this is a product defect that affects every pair of slippers on this style, but I'd be wary. I should have returned these right away, but they were a Christmas present...probably too late now, I guess (March).
