Even though they are not quite the weight of flannel material that I would have like, these are a very good quality product - and with my new Rugby robe, I am going to be nice and warm this winter. Though I am not a huge fan of scotch plaids, the plaid is so very subtle they are quite pleasing.

I washed them once in a front loader washer and after that, they shed lint everywhere. I tried removing the lint with a roller, but after three sheets of roller paper, I gave up. There was lint on the ironing board, on the carpet, and on anything else that came in contact with the pajamas. I sent them back. Someone should have tested the material.

I was really excited about these pajamas.
I received them and washed them.
Lint everywhere.... and I mean everywhere.
I also purchased the scotch flannel robe and washed the two together. The lint from the green pajamas is all over the red robe.
A couple of hours and two lint rollers later and I have saved both the robe and the pajamas but Geez what a chore.
These pajamas are nice and thick, soft, and warm.
Well made but don't ever wash them with anything....
unless you have a couple of lint rollers and a lot of time.

(I bought these for my husband a few seasons ago, so to be fair they may have changed design since then.) The flannel is soft and durable with no noticeable shrinkage. However, the plackets on both the button and buttonhole sides of the pajama top are not sewn down. The interfacing, therefore, disintegrates over time in the wash and the plackets do not lay flat. I have since hand stitched the edges from the shoulder seam down to the hem which makes for a finished looking garment. This is not the quality workmanship that one would expect from LLBean. Before purchasing, I would suggest one inquire if these current PJs have sew-down front plackets.

These PJ's are so thick and comfortable that I mistakenly hung the top up, thinking it was a beautiful Pendalton shirt and wondered where my husband got it? The colors are true after a year, and I'm ordering another pair for him for this Christmas.

My Dad is 93 and is very cold natured. I just purchased his 4th pair plaid flannel pajamas. They are true to size (M); he is 5'6" & 125 pounds. He practically lives in them in cold weather. We also got the fleece-lined Tartan plaid robe that he loves on cold mornings. I highly recommend these products for elderly men. I personally recommend the Tartan plaid flannel nightgown too.

What has happened to these wonderful flannel PJ's, Lint, Lint & more Lint. After a shipping delay, they arrived late July and not worn until the chill arrived. My husband has worn them for years. I've washed them separately over 6 times and still more lint. Was one operation to remove the lint from the fabric deleted ? The fabric has definitely declined. Please LL Bean, restore to the old fabric.

These pajamas are very warm and comfy. They help keep me warm in the winter time and I am snug as a bug when I wear them. Very comfortable and warm. I would highly recommend them for they are well worth it.

I have your pajamas, flannel and lightweight for summer. They are all wonderful, fit well and wear well. One bad thing, they do not have pockets. We women WANT POCKETS, do you think you can add pockets from now on?

These PJs major flaw is that the pants consistently wear through at the knees. I now have three shirts with no pants. I'd buy the separate pants, but they have no fly, and have a belt & pockets I don't want. Also, the pants are way too expensive...I can buy a whole set for $55, just a little more than the pants alone ($45).
