Rated 5 out of 5áby scrapking A Fall and Winter tradition
My uncle in Northwood, New Hampshire told me about these pants some 25 yrs ago. I recall we were loading wood into his basement and he said "you've got to get a pair of these lined pants". I got my first pair a few years later, and have since had jeans and chinos, and still wear them both! When I put them on, I know its fall and its become a tradition for me. Clearly, the fact that they are still around (patched in both knees) is a testament to their build and wearability. You won't be sorry, they perform as advertised, and I am HARD on pants, believe me. I tried to keep a pair clean for work, but it's useless, they become my go-to and are work-worn before I know it.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Mrcaseyman I'm never taking these off!
These are wonderful after a couple weeks but I should probably take them off now. :) They are so comfortable I plan to buy more soon! Fit is perfect for me 34/34.

Absolutely my favorite winter pants. Excellent fit and above all, they fight the chill?even on the windy Canadian Prairies at -30║! These britches look and fit very similar to Bean's unlined Double L Chinos. The purists will appreciate the fact that they do need to be ironed?no wrinkle resistance here?just 100% cotton, 100% warm!

Rated 3 out of 5áby John88 Good for cold office
My office is cold all the time and these are just right. Not crazy about the fit; they are pretty baggy. There's not much to chose from so these fit the bill.

Rated 3 out of 5áby Seve2125 Nice, but didn't last.
These are very comfortable and warm pants, but they only lasted a couple of winters before the bottom hems frayed and wore out completely. The navy pair I had lost nearly all of its coloring (turning a dull blue) in the same amount of time. I therefore returned these to LL Bean after a couple of years as I would expect pants like these to last a lot longer.

Rated 5 out of 5áby CandSMom My husband LOVES these!
I was worried at first about ordering these pants, but my husband loves them so much he wanted another pair! (and let's just say he is "frugal"). Too bad they are out of stock! We live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and these are just right for when he has to work out in the field for his job.

These are my favorite pants. Each year I buy several pair, with the older pairs relegated to being work pants. Unfortunately, when I went to purchase two new pair for this year I was disappointed to learn the 36" inseam is no longer offered. What a shame. Have you forgotten about us tall people??

Rated 4 out of 5áby SartorialSavvy Good, But They Could Be Excellent
I purchased a pair of these for myself a few years ago, as well as a pair for my father as a Christmas gift.
The fit is spot-on, just like their unlined brethren, and I really appreciate the availability of the uneven (35, in my case) waist sizes. The flannel adds quite a bit of weight, but is not at all objectionable. The flannel is so soft it almost feels like wearing a comfy pair of pajamas to work! Overall, they are very nice casual pants.
I would absolutely love to see more colours available, especially a dusty olive, sage, or the green that the Pathfinder pants used to be available in, and a charcoal or at least a mid-grey. I find these colours more winter-appropriate (the off-white colour is not very practical), without being as severe as black, or as nondescript as the generic walnut brown I ended up ordering.
Finally, making these available with the fleece lining that the Double L jeans have would be an absolute home run.
It's no exaggeration to say that I'm closing in on 18 pairs of those jeans, in every cut and most every wash, for myself, my family, and friends. I rave about these to everyone, and with good reason: the fleece offers exceptional warmth, far surpassing that of cotton flannel, with much less bulk and weight. Which helps explain the 18:2 ratio of jeans to chinos...
I am fortunate in my job that I can wear jeans if I dress them up with a sport or dress shirt and a sport coat.
That said, I would absolutely love to up my winter-clothing game, in terms of variety and a more professional, polished appearance, without being left in the cold.
(I live in Alberta, so this is no exaggeration. -20 to -40 degrees Celsius is just too cold for flannel to handle.)
In sum, these chinos are very nice, and with a few tweaks, they could be perfection!
