Rated 5 out of 5 Hate the word "Imported"
First off these shirts are probably the most versatile shirts in the world, I wear mine from the first chill of October all the way until spring. I own 6 different colours, and they all rock. They are warm, classic, comfortable, and handsome. My only gripe is that while yes they are imported...why not put "Made in Canada" Might draw some new attention to them, imported to me feels like "Made in China". They are made by Stanfield's underwear...a long time Canadian Sundries company! Top notch shirt for all weather!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Goodhue A Cold-Weather Must!
I've been wearing these shirts for years,and I have a full drawer devoted just to them! While the really old ones do show their age,they're still very functional and I wear them under other layers when it's very cold.The newer ones I'll wear on top when "casual" is the dress code. While I also own 5 of the crew-neck style,I find that having the option of opening the top button or two comes in handy quite often with the henleys.~ My friends and family know that they won't go wrong giving me one of these as a birthday or Christmas gift!

Rated 3 out of 5 by EdgePkman03 Loose Henley collar
I've owned several River Driver shirts over the years, In recent purchases, I find the collars to be too wide on the Henley button models. I'm sending the recently purchased one back and will for future purchases only purchase from the retail store to see if the vendors model is not too wide. .

Rated 3 out of 5 by stoshly Alergic to wool? Be careful
I have been a river driver shirt enthusiast for many years now and probably have 20+ in my winter closet. However the last two I ordered feel like the collar was made from the wool rather than from the cotton part of the fabric. I put my latest purchase on today for the first time and it itched so bad I couldn't wait to get it off. So if wool isn't your thing be careful buying this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NYC1Beanshopper A++ shirt!
This is a great man's base layer. Anyone who already owns one knows to have a few in there collection. Women give me compliments on it too. Just don't get them too large but actually the right size for yourself the fit is better. Bean's done it again!

Rated 3 out of 5 by harpergirl Very thin and scratchy
First, full disclosure. I LOVE LL Bean. I have shopped and worn LL Bean for years. Pretty much every shirt and coat I own is LL Bean, and my parka is 15 years old....STILL looks fantastic. I buy all of my husband's jeans and sometimes shirts here as well.
I had high hopes for this shirt. The description makes it sound like it is a warm, thick, comfy shirt, but it isn't. It is very thin. My mistake....did not realize..it also has wool in it. My husband found it to be scratchy and uncomfortable. I noticed today in the new Christmas catalogue that the model wearing the shirt actually has a shirt on underneath it. Anyway...I did return the shirt, and this review isn't meant to be a complaint of any kind, just a "warning" that it really isn't what you might think considering the cost of it and the item description. All that being said...I LOVE LL Bean and order all the time, with very few returns.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bboris Uncomfortable and prone to shrinkage
I purchased 3 of these for my husband and like a fool, laundered them and disposed of all the packaging before we realized that he'd find them totally unwearable!
While the outer fabric is soft, the lining is scratchy. Also, although I ordered his usual size, they shrank slightly in the wash so that now they are too tight to wear a shirt underneath to protect from the lining rubbing against his skin.
A bitter disappointment times three.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LizzetteB like a big pajama top
I bought this shirt in L for my husband and XL for my son, both were VERY oversized and boxy. Soft and well-made, but shapeless like pajamas. I sent them both back.
