Rated 4 out of 5 by LadyKeara Good quality solid wood
The frame is solid however the description should be changed to chestnut or walnut color, not honey. Kept it even though the color is not really what we wanted. It gets mostly covered by the top blanket, so you don't see too much of the frame. Glad it is solid wood and can hold up to 550lbs.. Much more than others for a twin size. Not that we are that big.

Bed is easy to assemble by one person (full size) nice looking and a good finish. I purchased a Sterns & Foster extra firm mattress for it and have slept well on it since I bought it. I am more than satisfied with the product. I have been very happy with the quality of LL Bean products over the years.

You could pay a lot more for a poor quality import. This is great quality, made in the USA, and looks fantastic!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Toonzie Very Sturdy, Very Simple
I love this bed, its very sturdy and simple but in a beautiful way.
It is what I expected except as others have commented it is darker in color, but still matches my other honey stained furniture.
Arrived in about 8 days.
My husband said it was very easy to put together.
Worth every penny I`m thinking :)

Took 3 days, 1 box of bed parts per day. Finally got all the bed and really easy to put together.
Beautiful, strong, solid bed. We bought the Queen. Now we are waiting for our mattress.
Yep, I will tell my friends about my beautiful bed from llbean. Took me 2 whole years to actually order it. So happy I did, Honest I wish I had done it sooner. I love this bed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kate57 Beds survived Irene and Sandy
I had 4 twin and 1 queen for my bungalow on the Jersey coast. I rent this home in the summer to families. They survived hurricane Irene 2011. Just a good cleaning and waxing. We had 4 plus feet of dirty salt water when Sandy hit the Island. I had stacked heavy items on top of of all the beds. Everything was moved around like shaking a doll house. Then we couldn't get to our home for 4 weeks. The house had dangerous mold growing everywhere. Well back to the beds. Structurally they held together wonderfully. But the mold did them in. We still had to take a hammer to them where other things just fell apart. I am planning to purchase them again after we rebuild. I need to get the prices of them for my insurance claim. Thank you L.L. Bean!
PS Do you know how much a stinky wet mattress weighs? A Ton!!!!
