A customer favorite since 1973, made of breathable 100% cotton rope for a more natural look and feel. Continuously woven with more than 1,000 feet of hefty three-ply rope for maximum strength and durability, our hammock cradles you for complete support and is specially designed for extra stability and an enhanced rocking motion.

Premium construction features sturdy oak stretchers crafted from oak staves, then triple-dipped in marine-quality varnish for longer life. Heavy-duty, rust-resistant steel hanging hardware. The recommended distance for hanging between trees is 15 ft. Hammock will stretch over time. As your hammock stretches, you may need to shorten or lengthen the hammock chaise to achieve your desired hanging height. It is not unusual to adjust the height several times. Imported. Minor assembly.

Rated 1 out of 5�by shrow So dissapointed Despite other negative reviews, I purchased this hammock. I thought that LL Bean would surely have corrected the problems that others were having with this product. Not so. I hung the hammock on our stand, sat in it and hit the ground. No matter how much I tightened it, I still touched the ground when I sat in it. It's very poor construction, not like the last LL Bean hammock we had. I'm sending it back. May 15, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5�by Fashionandcomfortshopper Very disappointed I recently ordered the cotton hammock and it was terrible so I reordered the polyester thinking it would be more sturdy. No difference. When I got in either hammock I almost went to the ground. The rope on both hammocks was much thinner than my previous two LL Bean hammocks. The hammock seemed cheap and had very little body to it. I have been a long time Bean customer and I sincerely hope that this is not an example of the quality now coming from LL Bean. I am a customer because Bean means quality and a name that I trust. The first two were much more sturdy; the wood seemed thicker and the cotton roping seemed more dense and tightly woven than what is currently being offered. It nearly sank me to the ground when I sat in it. I was very disappointed and sent it back. June 27, 2012
