I really like the cut and feel of the lined Jac-Shirt.
But!! I really DON'T LIKE the offensive odor of the wool. Smells like some chemical was imparted to finish the fabric or kill insects at the manufacturing/storage site. Can't seem to air the smell out either. If stored in a hall closet the smell overpowers the person who opens the closet door.
This needs to be fixed ASAP.

Good construction, no itch, wind stop definitely a plus. Tried the Maine Guide Zip front Jak-shirt without the lining but even the slightest breeze made it cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by slik14u Great short coat!
More of a coat than a shirt. The camo that I got is 15 oz wool where as the other colors are 10 oz. That weight coupled with the wind block membrain makes for one warm jacket. Fit is fine and the wind block is not really noisy as some polymer shields are so it make for a quiet jacket in the woods. I'm partial to wool anyway; keeps you warm even if wet and doesn't rustle and rattle like synthetics. Old school I guess!

Rated 3 out of 5 by TennesseeFarmer Decent but lacks important touches
This is a decent car coat, but I am disappointed with the cheap plastic zipper, lack of an inner pocket, and no tab at the collar for hanging. The zipper especially. For this price just a bit of extra care with the detail and heft would be appreciated. I would have been happy to pay five or ten more dollars. Slightly bulkier might also be nice as this is an outer coat for layering. I wouldn't want it to rip. Best worn with a heavy sweater for the coldest days.

I bought the red/black plaid. Was skeptical after reading other reviews but glad I ordered it. I'm about 6'1" and the XL is a perfect fit. Sleeves are just the right length. Not too long. Not too short. Plenty of room for layering underneath. The 'noise' of the Windstopper lining is not a big deal. It serves its purpose by stopping the wind. Wore this in windy, near 0° temps and was completely comfortable. Don't know why they use shirt in the description. It is definitely a coat. My only complaint is there are no inside pockets and no loop for hanging on a coat hook. Other than that I?m 100% pleased.

This jacket is a classic design especially in the iconic black and red check. It's smart looking and warm and toasty on chilly days and nights. I keep mine hanging on the coat rack and throw it on when walking the dog or stepping outside for something. The jacket is easily functional from fall to early spring. It's roomy so on bitter days I wore it over a wool crew and it was perfect. It's well made and the Windblocker lining is a great feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MuddyMutt Great Jacket!!
I had to wait for this jacket because it was back ordered. Totally worth it. Warm, easy to slide your arms in out, stylish, good pockets.
Great for bringing in firewood, walking the dog, and working in the yard.

Fit is true to size, provides excellent warmth, receive lots of positive feedback from potential customers and am very satisfied with purchase. However, would have liked some inside pockets for my electronic gadgets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MCG1776 Great Jac-Shirt
This is a really nice looking jac-shirt. As many have said already, the sizes run a bit large. I'm 5'10", 170 and a consistent medium at L.L. Bean, but for this item, I had to exchange the medium for a small--the sleeves were just too long. The small fits me perfectly. That said, it's otherwise a great jacket. The windstopper does make a bit of noise but it's not a deal-breaker. Highly recommend.
