I bought the sheets last year and just bought the comforter cover. They are wonderful! The fabric is soft with a wonderful sheen to it. I wash and dry them every other week (alternating sets). I find the quality superb. After more than a year of use they still look new. We also have a new bed with a pillow top. These sheets fit it perfectly. They are deep enough to cover the entire mattress and the cover comes well over the edge to cover the mattress. I highly recommend them. I only wish they has a few more patterns. I like the varied colors of at least the sheet or the comfort cover being patterned with the alternate being plain. My husband is very fussy about his bedding and he has given these rave reviews!

Have this in the solid ivory over the warmer baffle-box stitch down comforter. The cover is soft and silky and really makes for a luxurious combination. It does wrinkle, so if you are want a more finished look and do not intend to cover it with a bead spread, this may be an issue. Have washed it several times and it remains smooth, extremely soft, and silky. Highly recommend.

I purchased the ivory comforter cover (duvet) for my older son's bedroom. He is away at college. I love it! It is very soft and feels great against your skin. The weight of the material is nice, gives it a little more substantial feel than some other covers. Shipping was quick. I intend to purchase another for the down comforter in our master bedroom! Please do not change the material! I haven't had to wash the cover yet, and hope that it washes nicely. I really don't want to be disappointed!

I've been looking for a comforter with a pretty design and with some of the colors that I've painted my bedroom in, after months of looking I discovered that L.L.Bean carried bedding, which I was not aware of. After looking under ?Comforters & Covers? I finally found one that had the color combinations that I've been looking for along with a design that I liked. I ordered the comforter along with the matching sham, when my order arrived I thought, "this bag is way to small to have a comforter in it" then I thought, ?I wonder if L.L.Bean sent me the wrong item?. When I opened the bag my comforter was not in there, in its place was a duvet cover with the same design. I went online to view my purchase to see if I had accidentally ordered the duvet instead of the comforter. When I looked at the comforter it was listed as a "Sateen Comforter Cover, Floral", in actuality it was not a comforter it was a duvet.
My question is why is this item listed as a comforter cover and not what it actually is, a duvet!
I am disappointed with the misleading description of this product; nowhere in the description of this comforter cover does it say it?s a duvet. This should be changed and the product should be listed as a duvet. I'm sure this has happened to many other customers and if the item description is changed I?m sure this would cut back on returns.
I feel that it would be worth it for L.L.Bean not only to carry the duvets but to also carry the comforters with the same designs, as other bedding companies do, this may increases your sales.

I purchased the LL Bean down comforter and was on a mission to buy a floral comforter cover. After searching on line and in stores and not finding anything comparable in looks and style to the Tulip comforter cover, I still was hemming and hawing about spending to much money. My husband said "just order it!" and I am SO glad I did. It is well made, including the inside ties & button enclosures to keep the comforter secure, and the softness and subtle sheen of the material. The background is cream colored, not white, with beautiful shades of green, blue, pink and yellow . It is truly just beautiful and I have received many compliments. I also ordered the two matching pillow shams to complete the ensemble. Couldn't be happier and will always recommend LL Bean to anyone who is looking for high quality merchandise.

Bought this with my down comforter and it is so very nice and soft. Have the ivory (a creamy off-white) and it is wonderful. Does wrinkle with use, but I use a bedspread on top of it, so it doesn't matter. Am so pleased with its quality (have used it continuously for a year) and incredible softness that I am going to order the matching 340 tc sateen sheets now. You do get what you pay for with this duvet cover; it's well worth the price.

I purchased this cover in the twin size for my king size bed...! This is a great trick for in between seasons, using a lighter weight down duvet and arranging it sideways. It covers the bed perfectly from side to side, falling just short of the pillows. This cover is beautiful - silky sateen, perfect weight, beautifully sewn right down to the well sewn buttons...much nicer than I was expecting for the price. This will never wear out so be warned...it is a lifetime investment!!! Definitely a huge quality gain with the Made in Portugal fabric. I am both a sewer and very picky about bed linens...this works for me on every level.

Thats how I would describe this duvet (and matching sheets)...fresh and luxurious. I have then the solid blue/gray color in king size and the cover is a perfect fit for our light weight LL Bean down comforter. We've had this for a few years now and use the cover for 1/2 the year and our quilt the other half. So, it's had plenty of use and it still looks fabulous. It has the sheen/shine that sateen has and it's incredibly soft! Maybe thats the most important point to make, it's incredibly soft!! In my next life, the one where my 2 golden retrievers don't sleep on the bed with us, I am getting the white set!

I just received my tulip comforter cover and it perfectly fits my new queen size down comforter from LLBean. I had a bit of difficulty putting the cover on the comforter since I twisted the whole thing (my fault), but now that it's on with the ties and buttons secured, it looks so pretty on my bed. It definitely brightens up the room and the colors are soft and restful. I may have to order the matching sheets because I have fallen in love with this pattern! The fabric is very soft and I'm sure it will launder well, that is, if I ever get enough courage to remove it and try to get it back on again. It was expensive, but well worth the cost.

This is a very nicely fashioned duvet. The fabric is substantial yet very soft, and the workmanship is high quality. I'm very happy with my purchase.
Just a few notes: the light blue is quite a bit lighter than I expected from the screen pictures. I'd describe it as a light ice blue. Also just want to recommend measuring your comforter before ordering. I thought I had a queen-size, but it turns out mine is closer to L.L. Bean's full.
