Rated 2 out of 5 Unimpressed
I'm very unimpressed with the quality of this shoe compared to other LL Bean products. Out of the box it was clear the the leather was of poor quality... stiff and dry.
A month into everyday wear and the shoes are still stiff.. poor quality.. and perhaps worst of all.. squeaky.
I hope LL Bean works on the quality of this shoe, because I really do love the look

My Husband loved these shoes in the 80s and 90s so ordered a pair for him recently. He's a solid size 12, 13 sometimes, and these were at least an inch too big....could fit two fingers in the back at the heel. Consider ordering a smaller size than usual.

The quality and fit of these shoes is remarkable. When I opened the box, I immediately put on the shoes and they fit perfectly. (I wear a 10 1/2). They are also a good looking shoe and will be quite appropriate for dress casual.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CapeKevin Handsdown best casual summer shoes
I pre-ordered the Jackman's in March and they finally were delivered in the beginning of June. They were completely worth the wait. These shoes are fantastic and look awesome. After considerable research into these shoes over the cheaper Mocs offered by LL Bean and Sperry's, I made my choice on these. The shoe fits a little large, for comparison I wear a 13 in athletic shoes and a 12 in these and dress shoes. My feet are also narrow so they are a little wide, however it is not noticeable or uncomfortable. I would suggest sizing down if you plan on wearing these barefoot or with minimal socks like I do. The leather is extremely sturdy, the shoes feels well-crafted in my hand and on my feet, and they are comfortable to walk and stand in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Starburns Nice quality summer shoe
Ordered these in a half size down than my usual size. For reference, I wear an 8.5 in Jack purcells, an 8 in Clarks desert boots and a 7 in the L.L Bean bean boots.
They fit well with midweight socks as well as no-show socks or bare feet. They are decently comfortable, but the first time you wear them they will feel a bit odd. The leather takes a couple days to start to break in and they do squeak quite a bit.
It's quite an attractive shoe and I've recieved compliments the day I started wearing them.
The leather quality is okay, not the best, but worth it for $79 with Beans warranty, I don't have too much of a problem with them.
The in-sole is pretty nice and it feels comfortable walking around, most of the time I don't want to take them off and I want to lounge around the house with them on.
The outsole is a solid piece of rubber, it feels very sturdy and it will hold up well. It doesn't flex as much as say a boat shoe, so it would be nicer to walk on hard things and such.
The laces are kinda cheap and generic, but I suppose for a few dollars more you can pick up some leather laces at a shoe store.
Buy this shoe if you want a shoe that can slip off but not on, they are a summer shoe, but also perfectly acceptable for fall with their blucher lacing style, they are less a slip on moc and more of a moc-shoe style.
Overall, a good buy and I am happy adding these shoes to my wardrobe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MidwesternFella Nicely made. Sizing is hit or miss.
Nice shoes for the price, but some issues. Ordered a 11.5, which I wear in nearly all other brands, too long. No problem as know returns are never an issue. Order in 11, left shoe fit perfectly, right shoe feels painfully narrow. Never had this problem with other shoes. Upon visual inspection you can see that the right shoe is actually slightly narrower. As noted by L.L. Bean I wear for 3 days before I evaluate fit. Left shoe still great, right shoe still cramped. Love the shoes and style but sizing and quality control seem to be an issue. I will roll the dice again and see if I get a pair that are both the same size, maybe try the wide, which I have never had to worry about previously. I feel if you can get a good pair it's probably the best type of this shoe for the money.

I do like my modern LLBean Blucher in spite of the El Salvador manufacture, strange new sole, and spongy insole insert. I like the fit, the color, the styling, the durability!
But, please, consider bringing back the vintage camp sole and American-made thick leather. The LLB Signature blucher is close, but the color of the leather is too dark. That camp sole on the standard Blucher would be a start!

Rated 5 out of 5 by JPinCT A "barefoot" shoe you can wear to the office.
No break-in. Goes anywhere. They seem to stretch more than they used to - actually got my last pair at the outlet and they were labeled narrow - but they fit to my foot within days. Classic and they take a beating. There's a reason they still make them...

These are great. Super comfortable, very durable, true to size.
Best moc/boat shoe of this type you can find.

I received a pair of these 5 years ago for father's day from my kids who were traveling through Maine and stopped in Freeport. At first, I wasn't sure I'd like them because I was used to wearing Sperry's.
Well, after 5 years of wear and tear, I finally broke down and bought another pair.
Please don't stop making these, and for heaven's sake, don't change them!
A great value that have outlasted my Sperry's by 2 years!
I love 'em!
