The fit well, and the laces allow you to get them snuggly on....and don't loosen up like leather laces (laces are the best feature)
They fit like a glove and I didn't have a problem with squeaks or loose, slipping heals...the laces help in that respect!

Yes, the shoes squeak right out of the box unfortunately, at least mine did. Just squirt some baby powder into the shoe and on the tongue, blot up excess and problem solved, no more squeaking.

I have worn Blucher moccasins since college, for 45 years now. Thanks, LLBean. With regular neetsfoot oil, they last a long time, then get demoted to Garden Shoes. Love 'em.

Reviewers here are either loving or disliking their bluchers. I personally have no problems, but I've always chosen the cactus finish over the saddle. I can see where the cactus almost has a pleather veneer to it, but the cactus model has always seemed like fairly nice, supple leather.

Great shoes! I have worn these since college 35 years ago and while they have changed a bit they still are the most comfortable shoes I own. My son, now a sophomore in college was introduced to these as a Junior in HS and it all he want to wear. He won;t throw his old pairs away he uses them for knock arounds.

I was told that sizing is true- wrong. I had to return and reorder a size smaller... The shoes are great though, very comfortable.

These shoes are perfect and I hope LLBean does not change them. People say that they squeak, and that is kind of a ridiculous complaint. Sure, they are made with rather stiff leather, but that also means that the leather is very durable and is built to last. These shoes are made with the same materials as the Bean Duck Boots that everyone seems to love, and they squeak too! The squeaking goes away after a few days of wear anyway. Just deal with it. They look and feel awesome!

Rated 4 out of 5 by RomRom Good shoes, could be better
I've been wearing these shoes for almost a month now and am satisfied with the purchase. There are a few things I'd like to see improved however.
1- The tanning process of the leather leaves a plastic appearance to the shoe. The leather is fairly soft and comfortable, and take little time to break-in, but I think a different tanning process of the leather would look better.
2- Squeek! They make noise. I ordered some Bean's Leather Treatment which I intend to rub the entire shoe with, especially on the tongue, as a previous reviewer suggested. We'll see if that improves things (and it may improve the appearance of the leather).
3-Laces are the same orange/gold nylon laces that come with the Bean Boots. I went to a cobblers shop and got a good quality leather lace to replace it, like I did with my boots.
Several things I really like:
1- The sole is excellent and very slip resistant. I expect it to last a long time.
2- Its a perfect shoe for early Fall when the weather gets a bit wetter and cooler. These have become my go-to shoes.
3- Relatively inexpensive.

I purchased a pair of these Mocs a few years back, they developed an annoying squeak in the sole, and they were replaced under the LLBean guarantee last Oct 2014. Now the new replacements are starting to squeak !! less than a year later. This is not a squeak from where the body meets the sole, but actually in the sole. Reading the Reviews, it seems like this is a common occurrence with these Mocs. Has any one found a solution to this?
