This is a wonderful weekend getaway for the whole family. Spend two days cruising along the rocky coast and over the rolling countryside of Freeport, Brunswick, and South Portland, Maine. The pace will be leisurely, with plenty of time to stop and take in all the experiences that the Maine coast has to offer. Carefully selected and vehicle supported, our scenic bike routes take you to stunning ocean views, picturesque lighthouses and harbors bustling with sailboats and fishing vessels. Your night of camping will be in the comfort of our private waterfront campground on Casco Bay in Freeport, where a traditional Maine lobster or steak dinner will be served. After dinner, you will be able to enjoy the summer sunset and watch the stars come out over the bay. Our private campground is fully equipped with bathrooms and hot showers, dry tents set up on platforms, comfortable cots and cozy sleeping bags for your night out.
Meet your guides at the Paddling Center on Casco Bay and settle into our private waterfront campground. Then you're off on a scenic coastal ride that winds through pastoral landscapes and ocean viewpoints to a local marina where you'll enjoy lunch. You will ride up to 25 miles on day one. Return to camp for a relaxing evening with dramatic waterfront views of Casco Bay.
On day two, start your day with a delicious breakfast followed by a short shuttle ride to our starting point in South Portland. Spend the day biking to spectacular sites along Maine's rocky coast. Stop to view classic lighthouses and enjoy a picnic lunch beside rocky cliffs. You will ride up to 23 miles on day two before returning to the Paddling Center around 4 p.m.
