Gather your family or group of friends and paddle one of Maine's beautiful lakes at a pace that will allow you to savor the natural surroundings. Our Registered Maine Guides will assist you with paddling techniques and use of the equipment. Over the course of this trip, you'll enjoy spectacular scenery, gourmet camp meals and fun evening activities. During the days, you'll see wildlife and lovely shoreline vistas. In the evening, the loons may serenade you with a lullaby as you fall asleep under the stars. Comfortable tents and sleeping bags will be waiting for you when you're ready to turn in.
Itinerary
Your adventure starts at L.L.Bean's Paddling Center on Casco Bay in Freeport. From there, you'll travel to a beautiful, secluded Maine lake, where you'll settle in at the lake-front campsite for lunch. Then your experienced guides will assist you with paddling techniques and using the equipment as you explore the lake by canoe. Enjoy a gourmet dinner, then choose to relax, play games, or enjoy an evening paddle. Comfortable tents and sleeping bags will be waiting for you when you're ready to turn in.
In the morning, after a hearty breakfast, you'll slip into your canoe for another leisurely paddle. After lunch, we'll return to the L.L.Bean Paddling Center.
