Course Description

Paddling the ocean under the glow of a summer moon is a truly spectacular experience, especially when it skirts Maine's tranquil coastline. After a short paddling demonstration, our Registered Maine Guides will lead you on a leisurely tour of inner Casco Bay as you paddle our stable, two-person kayaks. You'll see the iridescent shimmer of bioluminescence in the ripples of your wake, a phenomena caused by billions of microscopic organisms that live in the sea. You may even catch a glimpse of a seal or porpoise, peaking curiously at you over the calm waters. This fascinating tour only occurs during the weeks of the full moon and is a special adventure you won't want to miss.

No prior kayaking experience is needed. All necessary paddling equipment is provided.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

*Synthetic clothing dries quickly and is the best choice for outdoor pursuits. Please do not wear cotton clothing. When wet, cotton rapidly robs the heat from your body and takes a long time to dry. We also recommend you dress in multiple layers, allowing you more flexibility to comfortably respond to the weather conditions and your level of exertion.

†Please call ahead if you plan to use your own equipment as it must pass inspection by L.L.Bean staff before use. If it's deemed unsuitable, we will provide you with the necessary equipment.
