Bill Gorman, great-grandson of legendary outdoorsman and pioneering outdoor retailer Leon Leonwood Bean, serves as Hunting & Fishing Product & Media Advisor at the legendary retail chain's headquarters in Freeport, Maine. He's as comfortable in camo as he is in business casual. An avid outdoorsman, Bill has traveled the globe and logged countless miles in search of trophies, adventures and lasting memories with family and friends. Whether he's in pursuit of red stag in Austria, Dall sheep in Alaska, cape buffalo in Zimbabwe or whitetails in Kansas, he enjoys the journey of each adventure as much as the destination. |
A motorcycle aficionado and licensed pilot, he holds a degree in business and aeronautical sciences, spent several years flying planes and helicopters, worked as a flight instructor and has lived in South America. When he's not in a deer stand, at the rifle range or strategizing L.L.Bean's diverse outdoor product lineup, he can be found cruising the open road on his Harley-Davidson Springer. Bill sees L.L.Bean Guide to the Outdoors as his opportunity to help fans enjoy all the action and thrill of the hunt, while conveying the importance of conservation, respecting wildlife and appreciating the journey and friendships made along the way. |
