L.L.Bean's New Data Center Awarded LEED Silver Certification
FREEPORT, ME, April 2009—The US Green Building Council awarded it's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification to L.L.Bean's new Data Center in Freeport, Maine. The Data Center, opened in 2008, is the first LEED Silver certified data center in New England. This award recognizes L.L.Bean's commitment to developing sustainable buildings that take into consideration the environmental issues of materials and emphasize water conservation, energy efficiency and indoor air quality.
