Grand Opening for L.L.Bean at Lafayette Crossing

Outdoor Retailer’s “Bootmobile” Will Headline Family Fun Event

September 4, 2012, North Hampton, NH – L.L.Bean continues its year-long 100th anniversary celebration with the grand opening of a new, 10,000-square-foot outlet store at Lafayette Crossing on September 22. The celebration will run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and will include an appearance by the “Bootmobile,” a larger-than-life replica of the iconic L.L.Bean Boot; free samples of Muddy Bean Boots ice cream, a flavor created by Maine’s Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream in honor of the 100th anniversary; a drawing for a kayak package valued up to $500; and a slew of family fun activities including fly casting, games and face painting.

“Coastal New Hampshire is an excellent location for an L.L.Bean Outlet Store,” said Greg Elder, L.L.Bean Vice President of Stores. “The store is located on Route 1 and will be an easy stop, not only for visitors passing through on their way to Maine, but also for local residents looking for deals on L.L.Bean outdoor gear and apparel.”

“L.L.Bean is the perfect complement to our diverse roster of retailers, and their reputation for high quality, American-made products will be a powerful draw for our other merchants,” said Mark Roberts, Senior Vice President of Leasing at WS Development. The North Hampton location will be the fifth outlet in New Hampshire for the Maine-based L.L.Bean. The company has a total of 11 outlets stores along the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern seaboard as well as 18 retail stores outside of Maine.
