L.L.Bean Bootmobile Heads Off for Spring/Summer Tour to Support National Parks
During National Park Week (April 21-29), outdoor retailer L.L.Bean is asking Americans to visit a park and share their photos and stories online to help raise $1 million for the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America's national parks, as part of the Million Moment Mission. Additionally, all week long, visitors can take advantage of free admission to all 397 parks. On Saturday, April 14, Mayor Thomas M. Menino, the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, and outdoor retailer L.L.Bean announced Boston’s “Summer Kayak Series,” which will provide local children and families with the opportunity to get outside and discover a new outdoor activity – and beat the heat – this summer. The announcement was made in conjunction with the “L.L.Bean Outdoor Discovery Day” on the Boston Common.
