Meet the Athletes

Brian Gregg

When Brian Gregg was 15, he sat alone in the wilderness on his Outward Bound solo, contemplating his future. By the time the 72-hour exercise was over, his goals were set. They included climbing Denali, cross-country skiing professionally and going to the Olympics. Before he reached his thirtieth birthday, he had reached his goals. He often credits his mentors and coaches for his success and is dedicated to giving back. For over a decade, Brian has been traveling the world competing and training, yet he makes time, along with his wife Caitlin, herself an elite cross-country skier and Olympian, to help kids meet their own goals.[+ FULL STORY]

Zoila Gomez

Born in a small village in Mexico, Zoila is the youngest of 16 children. At the age of 16, she moved to California to make a better life and the chance to help her family. The plan was to improve her education, learn English and then return to Mexico. That plan changed when she found that she had a talent for running – a very special talent.[+ FULL STORY]
