Place your item in the original packaging, if available, and enclose a completed Return and Exchange Form. You'll find the form right on the packing slip that came with your order. If you purchased your item at an L.L.Bean store or you don't have the original packing slip, you can download the form here.

* Free return shipping is available exclusively to L.L.Bean Visa Cardmembers. Recipients who are not L.L.Bean Visa Cardmembers are not eligible for this benefit. Free return shipping requires the use of a designated L.L.Bean return label. APO/FPO addresses must use the designated USPS return label. Free return shipping does not apply to items requiring freight shipping, Direct to Business items or items returned from US Territories or international locations. Free return shipping may be restricted if the number of items returned in the prior one year period exceeds the number of items purchased within that time.

Use one of the shipping labels included on the packing slip that came with your order or print one online. Then place it over the original shipping label on your package. Please note that your refund will be reduced by $6.50 if you use a prepaid return label.
Option 1 (our preferred option): Print a prepaid UPS shipping label or use the prepaid UPS return label from your packing slip. Take the package to the nearest UPS shipping location. Online tracking information is provided by UPS.
Option 2: If UPS is unavailable in your area, you may print a prepaid USPS shipping label. Leave the package at your mailbox or drop it off at the nearest post office. No online tracking information is available for packages shipped via US Mail. For returns from APO and FPO addresses, please use this label.
Option 3: If you choose not to use one of the prepaid labels, you will be responsible for paying all return shipping costs. Please ship your return to:

Exchanges within the US are usually delivered within two weeks of the day you put the exchange in the mail. For faster service, contact Customer Service to request an L.L.Bean QuickExchange.

Please note: If the item was purchased within the last four years, our Canadian customs broker will submit a claim form for duty and taxes to Revenue Canada on your behalf. We will refund the purchase price, plus any duties and tax charges, directly to you.
If you request an exchange, we will pay shipping and handling charges for the item we ship to you (you will be responsible for duty and tax charges on the new item). Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

If you request an exchange, we will pay shipping and handling charges for the item we ship to you. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of your new item. Please note that your country may levy import customs and duties on any items we ship to you.

For the fastest service, call Customer Service at 800-441-5713 to request a QuickExchange. We'll place an order for your new item right away, and usually ship it the next day. We'll need to charge you the purchase price, but we'll waive the shipping and handling charge for the new item. Once we receive your return, we'll credit you for the cost of the original item.

If you discover a problem after you've accepted delivery, please contact us at 800-341-4341. We may be able to resolve the problem without requiring you to return the item. Please retain all packing material until you're completely satisfied with the condition and performance of your purchase. Doing so will make it easier to return the item if necessary.
If you do wish to return or exchange a freight item, please contact us at 800-341-4341. We will arrange the return shipment with a freight company.

We encourage you to include your receipt in order to help us process your return more quickly. However, we'll accept your return without the original receipt (except if it was purchased at an L.L.Bean Outlet®). If you return an item without a receipt, please help speed processing time by telling us where and when you purchased the product.

At L.L.Bean, we help our customers "Reduce, Reuse, Resole." For a reasonable fee, we can extend the life of your L.L.Bean Boots.
